Hong Kong movies won two awards at the 17th Osaka Asian Film Festival
A total of six Hong Kong movies were selected for the ““Special Focus on Hong Kong” programme” under the 17th Osaka Asian Film Festival (OAFF) which was held from 10 to 20 March.
Congratulations to the two Hong Kong movies which have won the following recognition/awards at the Festival –
· "Anita"- Competition Special Mention and Audience Award
· "The First Girl I Loved"- ABC TV Award
In addition, with the support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Tokyo), a Hong Kong Gala Screening featuring a locally-produced Cantonese movie “Time” was held on 18 March at the ABC Hall in Osaka. We are glad to learn from the organiser that the six Hong Kong movies had been well received by the Japanese audience.
The Acting Principal Hong Kong Economic and Trade Representative (Tokyo), Mr Thomas Wu, delivered opening remarks at the Gala Screening.
Director of “Time” Ricky Ko greeted audience in a recorded message at the Hong Kong Gala Screening.
