2022年、香港特別行政区は25周年を迎えます。「一国二制度」が成功裏に実施され、香港は独自の優位性を維持しながら、主要な国際金融、貿易、物流の中心地としての強みを発展させてきました。この間、香港は少なからぬ課題に直面しましたが、その度にレジリエンスを発揮して再び立ち上がってきたのです。試練を経るごとに香港はより力強く生まれ変わり、わくわくするような新章を開いてきました。
国の第14次5カ年計画では、国際的な大都市としての香港特別行政区の未来と発展に向けた明確な位置付けが示されています。同計画は、国際金融・運輸・貿易センター、またアジア太平洋地域における国際的な法務・紛争解決サービスの中心地たる香港の現状の役割を支持する一方で、今回初めて、国際航空、国際イノベーション＆テクノロジー、知的財産取引、中国と諸外国との芸術文化交流という4つの新たな分野での香港の発展に支持を打ち出しました。香港はまた、広東・香港・マカオ大湾区でも極めて重要な役割を果たしていきます。大湾区は8,600万の人口を擁し、合計GDPは世界第9位にもなる一大経済圏です。
こうしたユニークな位置付けと、国の発展とのより緊密な一体化によってもたらされる多くの機会により、香港は中国本土と世界をつなぐゲートウェイとして、そして大湾区の国際的な橋頭保としてかけがえのない役割を果たすのに最適な立場にあります。明るい未来への希望と自信を胸に、香港はチャンスとたゆまぬ発展の新時代へと足を踏み入れていきます。このダイナミックで活気に満ちた国際都市・香港の25周年という大きな節目を、皆さまと分かち合えることを願っています。
In 2022, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) celebrates the 25th Anniversary of its establishment. The successful implementation of “One Country, Two Systems” has enabled Hong Kong to maintain its unique advantages and develop our strengths as a key international financial, trade and logistics centre. Over the years, Hong Kong has encountered quite a few challenges but we have proven our resilience and bounced back time and again. Every time we have emerged stronger to embark on a new and exciting chapter.
The National 14th Five-Year Plan sets out a clear positioning for the HKSAR’s future and development as an international metropolis. The Plan supports Hong Kong’s ongoing role as an international financial, transportation and trade centre as well as a centre for international legal and dispute resolution services in the Asia-Pacific region. For the first time, the Plan supports Hong Kong’s development in four emerging areas – international aviation, international innovation and technology, intellectual property trading, and arts and cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world. Hong Kong is also poised to play a vital role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) with a population of 86 million and a combined GDP that makes it the 9th largest economy in the world.
With our unique positioning and the considerable opportunities brought about by closer integration with national development, Hong Kong is perfectly placed to play an irreplaceable role as the gateway between the Mainland and the world and the international bridgehead of the GBA. We are entering a new era of opportunities and steady development with hope, and confidence in a brighter future. The exhibition will present miniature models made by Hong Kong artists that depict Hong Kong's cherished traditions, unique culture, cityscape and aspects of daily life. The miniatures enable viewers to understand Hong Kong's progressive developments, appreciate Hong Kong people's positive spirit, as well as Hong Kong as an international city where East meets West, the old blends with the new, and creativity thrives.

The Film Festival will showcase the vibrancy of Hong Kong's film industry through screening of Hong Kong movies. In addition, photo exhibitions will be held in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya from 22 to 30 October and Bunkamura from 5 to 13 November.

Hong Kong is the birthplace of modern dragon boat racing, which has now developed into a popular sport activity not only in Hong Kong but also in many other cities in the world.
